Wayne Snr., a child of God, a son, a brother, a loving father, a cousin, a friend.  Those who knew him would say that he was very quiet, shy maybe, had few words and many would say an introvert.

Wayne lived with his mother and five siblings of his mother. Wayne was quite a character. I remember growing up, his expression of love for us was very different. His show of affection would be to pull a prank on us, or getting us to participated in one of the fun games he invented and we all looked forward to this. As the oldest brother he teased, poked, made fun, pulled all kind of pranks however, if we needed him all we had to do was ask. He was the big brother who protected his baby siblings.

I remember as a teenager Wayne was always trying to fix cars, First it was the engine and the transmission, but then his attention soon changed to exterior of vehicles. It was no surprise when he become what is known in Jamaica as a body man. Wayne could repair a crashed vehicle bringing it back looking new with his bare hands. His talent at restoring old vehicles to looking like new led him to the career path he chose as an Auto Body Repairman.

Wayne loved his children Monique and Wayne Jr. I remember how he would speak lovingly of them and in the past would have done anything for them. Monique was the apple of his eyes, and he was so proud of Wayne Jr.  Like I said my brother expressed his love differently but we know for sure that he loved his children dearly.

Although my brother during his last days was not able to communicate with his lips, his eyes told me he understood when I spoke with him, encouraging him, expressing my the desire for him to get better so we could take him home as I rubbed his head. He knew his mother's touch, her heart, and her tenderness as she feeds him during her many visits. My mother along with her church family and Church sisters, Sister Strawn, Sister Strawn's daughter Lorna, and Sister Lewis often prayed for him that his soul may be right with God while asking God to deliver him and watch over him. John 16:24 Ask in my name, according to my will, and he'll most certainly give it to you. Your joy will be a river overflowing its banks! and my mother his mother keep asking for him.

Wayne leaves behind his two children Wayne Jr., and Monique, his loving and caring mother, Caroline, his siblings by his mother brother Milton, sisters Sharon, Millicent, and Winsome, siblings by his father brothers Owen, Dave, Everton, sisters Shelly-Ann, Dawn, Susanne, Noel,  aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who loved and cared about him. Wayne departed his earthly home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 while in the hospital.

We are comforted knowing that God saw how weary Wayne was, he fought a good fight but it was time to go home to be with the Father. You will be forever in our hearts.
