Walter
Thompson
Mar 4, 1929 — Aug 28, 2021
Miami
After high school, he worked at several jobs, but spent most of his years as a salesman at Reginald Aiken where he sold tractors and other heavy equipment and, ultimately retired. Vincent was blessed with three children. In 1977, he met Louisa Daley and they married in 1985. He was a loving husband, very jovial and always well put together. He was also a great cook and a lover of racehorses. He spent a lot of time at the racetrack and would always express an exuberance of joy as he observed the horses as they raced.
He migrated to the United States in 2003 and for the next five years worked at Publix Supermarket. He suffered a stroke and was forced to retire. Over the years he battled with numerous health issues and when his health began deteriorating, he required fulltime care. He was well cared for by Ms. Cherry for 6 years. As a result of an ensuing illness he was admitted to the hospital and was later transferred to rehab. On August 28, 2021 he passed peacefully into God's care.
Walter has joined his Brothers Byron, Omar and Sister Lynn who pre-deceased him. He leaves behind His Wife Louisa; Children: Althea, Sandra and Wayne; Brothers: Lawrence, Leslie, Granville, Herman and Sisters: Carmen, Claudette, Barbara, Yvonne, Pat, and Madge; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was a good soul and will be deeply missed by all of us.
Rest in Peace Walter.
