Vincent Roye Finlay was born on February 13, 1939, in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica to the proud parents of Eugene Finlay and Salvin Nation.Vincent reveranced and spoke about the precious moments he had with his grandmother, Medora Blake (maternal). This relationship made an indelible influence on his spiritual life. Vincent accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age.
The Early Years
Vincent was afforded the opportunity to attend several top primary schools in different parrishes as a result of his father's being a careered Government Administrator.

Migration to the United States of America
In the hopes of achieving the American Dream of a self-sustaining, lucrative future,
Vincent Finlay migrated to the United States in the 1960s at the age of 25. Soon after Vincent became a citizen of the US and made South Florida his permanent home.

Entrepreneurship: In 1988, Vincent Finlay founded the Florida School of Phlebotomy (later known as the Science and Business Institute of Florida). Mr. Finlay's school met the rigorous requirements for the Florida Board of Education
Vincent was overwhelmingly successful in helping to graduate his enrolled students
(including Nurses, Medical Technicians, Phlebotomists and other Healthcare Professionals) with the credentials, skills, licenses focusing on venipuncture, proper sterile technique, lab and patient safety, and the prevention of medical errors. Vincent was an Author & Preceptor of Continuing Education credits for the fields listed above.
Special Interest, Other Acquired Skills & Hobbies
Vincent Finlay, along with his endearing wife Faye Finlay, frequently assisted the elderly in their financial, spiritual and personal well-being. Pastimes: One of his favorite pastimes included enjoying gospel, Classic R & B and especially Country Western musical genres. In fact, Vincent took joy in singing along and recording country western songs, especially one of his favorite Country Western artist, Charlie Pride. Ultimately, one of his favorite songs that he always held dear to his heart was the gospel song written/produced & performed by his cousin, Otis Wright ("It'll Soon Be Done, These Troubles & Trials"). Talents: He was a phenomenal, self-taught individual of many acquired skills and natural talents: IRS Tax Preparation (assisting clients for over 20 years), Fluent in Spanish (Self-taught), and Auto Mechanics (Self-taught).
Marriage and Family Life:
On June 28, 1980, Vincent Roye Finlay was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, E. Faye Cooper. For over 40 years, their union exemplified marital bliss. To this union, God blessed them with two beautiful and successful daughters: Dr. Tanya Finlay & Crystal Finlay.
Vincent and Faye Finlay were truly blessed beyond measure for their grandchildren through their two daughters: Taylor Christina Finlay (daughter of Tanya) & Khalil Vincent Finlay (son of Crystal).

Vincent Roye Finlay leaves to honor his legacy a loving wife E. Faye Finlay, his grieving children and siblings and a host of proteges, students, clients, friends and associates.
