Travis Montrice Barnes, was born on May 29, 1983 in Miami Florida. Travis was the second child born to the late Montez and Daniel Barnes Jr.. Travis, was raised in Miami, Florida. Travis was educated through the Miami Dade Public School Systems. Travis attended Myrtle Grove Elementary School. For Middle school Travis completed Parkway Middle School for. Travis, earned his High School Diploma from Miami Carol City Senior High "Home of the Chiefs" in 2001. After, graduation Travis began a career with FedEx Ground where he was employed for 20 years.

Travis had a talent and a passion for working on cars. Travis, was a mild mannered quiet individual.  Travis, was well loved by his friends and families.

Travis' mother transitioned on September 1, 2021. On September 23, 2021, Travis transitioned to be with his mother. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted brothers Daniel III, Brandon and Joshua Barnes. One loving sister -in- law, Melba Barnes. One niece, Danielle Barnes. Two nephews, Daniel IV and Dylan Barnes. One Uncle, George Barnes. Three Aunts, Vera Blackshear of Miami, Florida, Anna Wilson of Miami, Florida and Margaret Lewis of Sarasota, Florida.
