Tana Francis (Jones) Jarrett known also as Mommy, Auntie Pam, Pamela, "P", Sister Pam, and Mrs. Jarrett was born October 21 ^st , 1963, to Vilma Mae Gordon and David Jones. She was born and raised in the city of Montego Bay, Jamaica. She was raised by her beloved Mom and Grandmother. As an only child for her mother she was pampered, loved, and adored. Sadly, her mother passed away in March of 2020.  Although Tana was deeply hurt, she remained strong and was happy for the loving bond she had with her mother. Tana graduated from Harrison Memorial High School in July of 1984. She went on to study typing at Montego Bay Community College with the hope of becoming a stenographer. She was also skilled in sewing and crocheting. A few years later she migrated to the U.S. still with the hopes of pursuing her career. Due to the lack of support and resources she had to put that goal on hold. One of the things that was of great concern to her was the wellbeing of her mother who was living in Jamaica at the time. She decided to become a nursing assistant in 1989. She graduated from Beacon Career Institute with straight "A" s and was encouraged by her teachers to become a nurse. Once again lack of resources and support led her into another direction. She remained a Nursing Assistant until her passing.

In 1991 she met Novell Jarrett whom she loved and cared for. Three years later she gained a 12-year-old daughter (Jordona), little did she know that she was about to raise a soon to be teenager at 30 years old. Not only did she raise her but developed a loving bond and remained together until her passing. She married Novell Jarrett in 1994 and gave birth to Tibrisha Jarrett whom she loved and adored. She was the apple of her eye and after doubts of fertility her bundle of joy came into her life. Having been raised as an only child she always dreamt of having a large family. In 2002 she opened her home to Foster Care and gained two more daughters whom she adopted Stephanie (10 years old) and Shenika Jarrett (6 years old). She loved and cherished them. Two years later she adopted Melunie Jarrett (10 months old). She also loved and cherished her. Later, she gained a god daughter (Jamella Bonham 6 years old) whom she fostered and loved. In 2012 she had her first and only grandchild Suriya Omeir whom she loved dearly. Tana did the best she could to care for her children and she was proud of them. She taught them the importance of being respectable, hardworking, and independent. She had a quiet humble nature that attracted people to her. She was never one to hold a grudge, she hated conflict and was softspoken and well mannered. She attended Love Fellowship Ministries and became a part of their family. She was also a member of the Honeybees & Hornets, Foster& Adoptive Parent Association. She fostered more than 25 children and was recognized for her great work and compassionate care. She always said, "I am not a people's person." That was the biggest lie that she ever told. People gravitated towards her because of her softheartedness. Sadly, her life was cut short but there were many aspects of her life that were fulfilling.
