Shemeana Ralph was born on May 7, 1964, in Miami, FL, to John and Bertha Ralph. She is the youngest of five children. She called herself  "daddy's baby girl."  And in time, we all started saying she is daddy's baby girl. At an early age, she was involved in Sunshine Band and Junior Choir and accepted Jesus Christ at a very early age under the tutelage of Reverend Macon at First Baptist Church of Bunche Park.

Shemeana attended Bunche Park Elementary, North Dade, where she developed close ties with her best friend the late Avain Keys (her daughter's godmother). She graduated in 1982 from Miami Norland, continued her education, and attended Miami Dade Community College. She was a true friend, counselor and provided sound godly wisdom to all who knew her. While attending college, she got hired onto the Miami Dade Police Department and stayed employed there until she retired after 25 years of service.

Shemeana met and married Ashley Carter in 1987. Takkia (Tiki), Ashley Jr. (AJ), Tory, and Cory were added to their union. Several years later, she raised her children as a single mother loving her 4 children unconditionally and being the best mommy ever to them. During her respectful lifespan, she overcame another hurdle as she battled cancer for approximately nine years. She fought long and hard and having a positive attitude. Shemeana thrived in self-care and fashion. She believed looking your best on the outside makes you feel good on the inside and would always tell herself, "I am Worthy." Shemeana embodied holding her head up high despite the challenges, sorrow or disappointments that life. She remained active, took special care of her mother, and helped raise her grandchildren. She was a generous soul always willing to help her family as she believed, "It's family over everything."

For she loved the Lord, remained in prayer and she would often say, ""My daddy is my guardian angel." On September 15, 2021, she heard the call of God's voice and she answered. Entering the gates of heaven at 6:28pm.

Her life is a celebration, and she made it home! Shed tears of joy, for we will not mourn her today nor tomorrow because she is in the bosom of our Heavenly Father. She loved her family and will forever be in our hearts. Let us hold onto and cherish the memories that have been developed throughout her lifetime. The family respected and honored Shemeana tenacity, humility, and perseverance, which impacted so many lives. She enjoyed family time, going on cruises, eating with the family, watching Star Trek and she loved thriller movies.

Presiding her death are Tavis Ralph (nephew), Deacon John Ralph (father), and John Jr. (brother). She leaves her legacy with her daughter, who is her right hand and she affectionally calls "Tiki" (Takkia) sons Ashley Jr (AJ), Tory, and Cory, her grandchildren Toryah, Tory, and Elijah John. She leaves her loving and caring mother Bertha whom she calls her best friend. Sisters Linda (Roger), Beatrice (Joseph), and Delta, uncles and aunts Eugene, William (Phyllis), Lucious, Robert Lee (Ethel), nieces and nephews, Lavelle (Latanya), SheyTophia (Jon), Ngaio, Andrea, and Andy and a multitude of cousins, grandnieces and nephews, Godbrothers, Godsisters, family, and friends.
