Roberta "Rosebud" Brown, was the daughter of the late Hennie Mae Regular and Robert Regular. She was born on November 30, 1938 in Chester, GA. In 1960, Roberta joined in holy matrimony with Leroy Brown. Together they raised their family of six children for 54 years. She raised her children with a "watchful eye", working at the schools they attended in elementary and middle school..
In 1977, she joined New Way Fellowship Praise & Worship Center and rededicated her life to the Lord. It was then that she found her true purpose in life was to help others. She served on the Food Bank Ministry, Mission Friends, Girls in Action and Vacation Bible School. She hosted Backyard Bible Club at her home in the summers. Through her countless labors of love, she dedicated her time to serving others in her church, her family and her community. She loved to feed people, both physically and spiritually. If you ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with Roberta Brown, she offered you one of two things, the love of Christ and a hot plate of food.
On April 30, 2021, she answered the call and went home to be with the Lord. We all loved her dearly, but God loved her best. Roberta will forever be remembered by her loving family; 6 children, David L. Brown, Barbara Brown (deceased), Michael Brown, Wanda Brown, Roy Brown and Trolena Smith (Michael); Daughter-in-law, Patrice Brown; Grandchildren, Keebie Gurley, Robert Jackson, Sha'Quan Johnson, Leroy James, Tommy James, Bobbie James, Sha'quan Johnson, Jalisa Brown, Alysa Thomas, Michael A. Smith; along with great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Roberta is survived by her brother, Jack Regular. She leaves behind many sorrowing friends who were blessed to know her.
