Richard Alfred Hunter was born on March 21,1945 in Miami, Florida to Edgar Eugene Hunter, Sr. and Francis Eliza Hunter-Hadley.
He was a 1963 graduate of North Dade Jr. Sr. High School. He was very proud to be a "Thunderbird." He was always bragging about their football team.
On December 11, 1965, he married Julia Vera Walton. To this union 2 children were born: Gary Maurice Hunter and Ingrid Rochele Hunter.
Richard was employed at Eastern Airlines, Primerica Insurance (formally A.L. Williams) and Publix Super-market. Richard enjoyed going to church, fishing, watching the University of Miami Hurricanes play football, watching westerns on television, feeding stray animals, and working in his yard
He was a member of The Church of The Kingdom of God from the 1950's until 2018 he joined with Shepherd of the Field International Ministries.
On August 18, 2021 God called him home to rest from his labors. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Eugene Hunter Sr. and Francis Eliza Hunter-Hadley; step-father Elexie Hadley; (3) brothers: Eugene Hunter Jr., Elexie Hadley Jr., and David Hadley.
Richard leaves to cherish his memory his wife of (55 yrs.) Julia Vera Hunter, (1) son: Gary Maurice Hunter; (1) daughter: Ingrid Rochele Hunter; god-daughter, Diamond Washington; (1) aunt, Thelma Armstrong; (2) Sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Walton, Catherine Walton Clark; (1) brother-in-law, Ollie Clark; nephews: Stephon Hunter, Michael Fambulah, Ronald Kelly and Leonard Kelly (Patrice); Nieces: Alanda Hadley, Naomi Smith, Edna Johnson (James), Betty Dames (Anthony), Sandra Washington (Frank), Andriana Roberts (Alton), Sonia Rowe (Leonard) and Dianna Mahadeo (Reynold). A host of cousins, friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord, who will solely miss him.
