Today we gather to celebrate the legacy and the life well lived of Mr. Reuel Alexander Stewart, who was best known by many of us here as "Uncle Little'' or simply as Stewart by his friends.

Today we are here to say our farewell to a great, warm, witty, and loving man, who worshiped the Lord, loved his family dearly, and who will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him.

Mr. Reuel Alexander Stewart was born on February 19, 1942, in Hanover, Jamaica, the 7th of Robert and Josephine Stewart's twelve children. He spent his youthful years in Hanover amid his large      family, a family with a good reputation in the community.

Upon completion of his education at Gurney's Mount School in Cold Spring - Great Valley, he moved to Montego Bay where he started his adult life. As a young man Reuel Stewart showed a strong will to make a good life for himself without losing sight of his parents and siblings back in Hanover. He did not hesitate to seize any good job opportunity that would help him to thrive, working in diverse ventures including in construction business or, at one point, in public transportation.

Ultimately, he was able to convert an opportunity that matched his talents when he landed a nice career as a Custom Agent at Norman Manley      Airport in Kingston (Jamaica).

It is in Kingston where, in 1972, he met Ms. Elaine Smith, the woman who would become his soul mate for the rest of his life. They wed in November 1978 and shortly after, Mr. Stewart and his wife immigrated to the U.S, making this country their permanent home.

Mr. Reuel Stewart's life in the U.S started in Minnesota where once again, he enjoyed another great career working for Control Data, a technology firm known today as Seagate Technology. It was such a rewarding job that Mr. Ruel Stewart spent more than 20 years of his life at this firm until his retirement. At which point the family relocated to Hollywood, Florida.

Mr. Reuel Stewart was a dignified man, a man of few words but a man with a lot of wit, always a voice of reason and moderation. A man who, while remarkably known for his discretion, was nevertheless always open to listen and to help in any way he could, really, a "Go to person" whom you can confidently count on to get any matter of importance resolved.

Mr. Reuel Stewart was always ready to extend his support to anyone who sought it out. His genuine kindness and good-hearted nature most characterized his persona. As such, he was a well-connected and    respected member of his family, his church, and his residential community.

Mr. Reuel Alexander Stewart's untimely passing at age 79 leaves us mourning a loving family man, a   father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, who will be sorely missed. Left to celebrate his life and mourn his memory: Wife , Elaine Stewart; children , Jacqueline Stewart, Leroy Stewart, Dwight Stewart, Fearon Campbell, Faine Campbell, Clarine Johnson, and Beverley Johnson; five sisters : Vinora Blake, Pearline Stewart, Myrtle Stewart, Isca Parchment, and Merlene Henry; one brother : Henry Stewart; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dozens of nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Eternal Rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen
