Obituary

On February 25, 1941, the late Prince Sr. and Bernice Rollins welcomed their twins, daughter Catherine and son Prince (Sonny) Jr.

Sonny accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at New Home Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL.

He attended Georgia Washington High School, Mt. Meigs, AL and graduated in the Spring of 1959.  After completing High School he moved to Miami, FL where one of the first jobs he worked was at Burdines Department Store Warehouse.  He went on to work in the Dade County Public School System, and was the Head Custodian of Allapattah Elementary School for 35 years until his retirement in 2003.

Later in life he joined Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Miami, FL, and he was a devoted member for many years.  Sonny loved fishing and spending time with his family.

In June of 1972,  Sonny met the Love of his life a young    princess named Sharon West.  They dated for three years and were married on December 23, 1975.  The young couple had a loving marriage for 46 years and during their marriage they traveled and loved on each other until Sonny's transition.

He was predeceased by son Keith Tyson; brother Donvilla Rollins; sisters: Lula (Oscar) Lewis and Catherine (Arthur) Blackmon. Brothers-in-law: Williams Sanders, Henry West and Dwight West.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Sharon Rollins;  daughters: Marilyn (Jerome) Parker, Tullikkii, Deborah and Patrice; mother-in-Law,  Mrs. Josephine West, sisters: Dr. Rachel Sanders, Bernice R. (Dr. Leonard) Williams, and Marion (Dr. Terry) Sneed; sisters-in-law: Threasa, Edna, Althea, Addie, Janice, and Lawanda; brothers-in-law Michael and Alan.

Grandchildren, Latoya, Colston, April, Jessica, Lakeithia, Keith Jr., Kelton, TeMarcus, Keshonda, LaKeyvia, Keymonie, Dalvin and fourteen great-grands along with a host of other family and friends.
