Adrian Oneal, a trucker driver and life-long resident of South Florida, died unexpectedly on September 9, 2022, at the age of 50 while traveling back home to South Florida Today we say goodbye to an amazing son, loyal brother, doting father, beloved husband, dependable and trustworthy friend. The world will long remember his legacy as one who championed fatherhood; the soul of the Party; and the lion of the family. Adrian Oneal is survived by his parents; his wife, Julian; his 10 children, 1 grandson 4 sisters and 2 brothers, nieces & nephews, cousins and a host of aunts & uncles. Adrian Oneal was born in Kingston, Jamaica on May 27, 1972. After Adrian Oneal migrated to the United States and completed his secondary education, he attended Nassau Community College where he pursued a degree in Allied Health Science with a focus in Physical Therapist Assistant. He later went on the obtaining his Commercial Driver's License and soon thereafter began driving trackor trailers. Adrian Oneal was a devoted father and an avid music lover. He enjoyed playing dominoes, spending time with his family and traveling. He had a sense of service and selflessness that his parents had instilled in him; he was a problem-solver who often took on the burdens of others. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. We cannot foresee the trials or misfortunes that will test us along the way of life's journey. We cannot know what God's plan is for us. What we can do is to live out our lives as best we can with purpose, with love, and with joy. We can use each day to show those who are closest to us how much we care about them and treat others with the kindness and respect that we wish for ourselves. We can learn from our mistakes and grow from our failures. And we can strive at all costs to make a better world, so that someday, if we are blessed with the chance to look back on our time here, we know that we spent it well; that we made a difference; that our fleeting presence had a lasting impact on the lives of others. This is how Adrian Oneal lived. This is his legacy. Adrian Oneal has gone home now, guided by his faith and by the light of those that he has loved and lost. At last he is with them once more, leaving those of us who grieve his passing with the memories he gave, the good that he did, the dream he kept alive, and a single, enduring image — the image of a man on a DJ Mixer, Headphones on, dressed in white & some hue of blue, playing dominoes and smiling broadly as he jams to Beres Hammond or other oldies, and gospel music ready for whatever storms may come, carrying on toward some new and wondrous place just beyond the horizon.
