Norman Fitzgerald Emery was born October 27 ^th , 1964 in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies, to Herbert and Charlotte Emery. Norman was the youngest of four siblings. The only brother to three sisters: Carola "Beverly" Jaghai, Cynthia V. Bradley and Marlene "Dainty" Emery.

Norman graduated from Miami Central Senior High School. His first job was at Mercy Hospital. From there, he went on to work at Bellsouth, where he was employed for 27 years. He was a dedicated Union Representative (UID#NE1878) for many years before his retirement in September 2020.

In 2005 Norman met Janelle. On November 19, 2008, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Elizabeth Lovely Emery. They would later marry on March 26, 2013.

He is mourned by his wife, Janelle; daughter, Elizabeth; Sisters, Carola (Beverly), Cynthia and Marlene; Nephews, Daryl and Demarco; Nieces, Shaari, Nicole, Rochelle, Jada, Janiya, Taja and Terriyah; Mother-in-Law, Julie; Brothers-In-Law, Delroy and Roosevelt; and a host of other friends and family.
