We are gathered here today in the memory of my mother Myrie A. Johnson, so that together we may acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that her life was to us, and the pain that her passing brings. In sharing the joy and pain together today, may we lessen the pain and remember more clearly the joy.

Our beloved Myrie A. Johnson was the oldest and was born January 9,1945 to the late Ivy Hewitt (mother) and Sebert Johnson (father) who both have departed this life. Myrie attended school at White Mar Primary and Kingston Commercial College in Jamaica. Myrie A. Johnson worked as a Bookkeeper, a Teller and then became an accountant in the banking world.

My mom confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in the early 90's under Pastor Elder Lowe. The church currently resides at Grace United Community Church under the pastorate Archibald. My mother cared deeply for everyone she knew whether you were her family, friend or a member of the community and church. Myrie was kind, fun, loving and set an excellent example of being an upbeat and positive person. Even though her health was declining she still loved to be around people.

Myrie A. Johnson's legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her daughter Erika Johnson; granddaughter Tatyana Cowart; sister Virgina Osei-Dwumoh; brother in-law Walter Osei-Dwumoh, nephew Justin Osei-Dwumoh; niece Camille Osei-Dwumoh; great nieces Alexandra and Jackie; and loving family members.
