Kindra Walker B.K.A. "Peaches" was born to the late Lester Walker and Ida Baldwin on March 31, 1962, in Miami, Florida.

A Time to Learn

Kindra (Peaches) received her education in Dade County Public Schools: Carver and Dunbar Elementary and later graduated from Miami High School.

A Time to Love

On November 13, 1996, she married Lionel Downer. From this union came her youngest son, Lionel Jr.  Her other sons are  Corey and Ryan.

A Time to Live

Peaches enjoyed spending time with both her biological and church family. She loved shopping, decorating her home and lots of fashionable clothing. She also enjoyed eating out at her favorite restaurant            Red Lobster with family and friends.

A Time to Labor

Peaches was employed with Family and Children as a Human Services employee. She was committed to this career until her health began to fail her in 2007.

A Time to Serve

In her later years, Peaches attended church and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior under the leadership of Rev. Joseph L. Kelley at Holy Temple Missionary Baptist Church. Kindra loved to share her faith by reading her bible daily and talking about the Lord to everyone she met. In June 2018, she moved to Fitzgerald, Georgia with her family where she joined Hope and Delivery Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Terry Wells. She remained there until she was called home.
