Cecile Mae Lorraine Thomas (affectionately known as Lorraine) was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I. on May 31, 1963. She was the second child of Roy and Amy Thomas. Lorraine went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2023.

After the death of her father in 1998, Lorraine migrated to Florida with her mother. From 1999 to 2015, Lorraine attended Lucanus   Development Center which she thoroughly enjoyed and excelled in all her classes. She was among a few students that were selected for    employment off campus. Lorraine was employed by Pizza Hut for nine years until August 2019. She was an exceptional and conscientious employee, very meticulous and took immense pride in her work.  Lorraine was always on time for work. She would arrive before the store opened and would not leave until she fully completed all her assigned tasks.

Lorraine was a very loving, funny, sweet and charming individual who was just a joy to be around. She would also lovingly chide you if needed. For example, if a married person was without their spouse,      Lorraine would not fail to ask: "Where is your wife (or husband)?"

Lorraine accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at Cambria Heights Gospel Chapel in New York where she was baptized and in happy fellowship for several years. After moving to Florida, she became an active and faithful member of the Miami Gospel Chapel Worship Center where she worshipped for over 20 years. Her     specific areas of ministry were: Junior Usher and Junior Executive Treasurer for the Women's Fellowship. As an usher, she served with great diligence and joy. No visitor ever missed her gaze, as she ensured each one received a Welcome Packet. As a Junior Treasurer she collected the offering at the Sisters' Meeting. Each sister had to give an offering as Lorraine did not take "no" for an answer. She loved God's people, was always happy to be in church, and was not afraid to gently reprimand anyone when necessary.

In the home, Lorraine also made several contributions. She ensured that the trash was taken out on a regular basis and had it ready for pickup on a Thursday. She made the weekly grocery list without her aunt's assistance; she knew exactly what was needed and thoroughly enjoyed going grocery shopping.

Lorraine is predeceased by her father, Roy (January 1998), her mother, Amy (September 2010), as well as her brother, Bill (October 2012). She is survived by her adoptive mom, Perley Hart (Goddy P) with whom she shared an unbreakable bond, aunts Mae Bennett and Grace Rose, nieces Latoya and Alayna Thomas, cousin Pat Hart, and a host of other relatives and friends.
