Matthew McGee was born April 6, 1961 in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Grady McGee, Jr. and Ola Mae McGee. He was the 1st child of four and was two and ½ minutes older than his twin brother.
He received his formal education at Miami Carol City Senior High School in the graduating class of 1980 and attended Solano Community College thereafter. He began his career at Velda Farms, now doing business as Borden, in 1984. He was a loyal employee of Borden until his health began to fail.
His hobby in his youth was a football player at Scott Park and Lake Lucerne Park. He continued to play football in both high school and college. His favorite NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys; he also enjoyed watching the Los Angeles Lakers and the Atlanta Braves. His favorite past time on his days off was to chill and smoke cigars with his twin brother.
On October 23, 2021, after a short illness, Matthew quietly entered eternity. His bright smile and contagious laughter will forever be remembered. Matthew leaves to mourn three daughters, Oneika, Shanika and Shaclinta (Terrell); two sons, Michael and Matthew; mother, Ola McGee; three siblings, Michael, Edgar (Michelle) and LaTonia; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also leaves many sorrowing relatives and friends.
