Born, Mary Alice Mays on October 18, 1940 to the late Johnny Mays and Annie Mae Robinson.

A TIME TO LEARN:

She attended Howard Academy in her early education, and Dorsey skill Center to finish.

A TIME TO BE BLESSED:

She was united with the late Dan Wooden II and with this union birth eight beautiful children.  Mary Alice was a living and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie and friend.

Mary was a woman after God's own Heart. She touched, Inspired, and encouraged the lives of many far and near because of her faith, strength, and unconditional love she so selflessness gave to us all. On Monday, January 2, 2023 God called his Angel home to come and take her rest, where she will have eternal life. She will be Truly Missed, her smile, her laughter. Her embrace and her uplifting spirit, her encouraging words and most of all her prayers.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Dan Wooden II, three children; Sharon Wooden, Tangela Wooden and Warren Wooden, and Grandson Robbie Wooden.

Six Children: Dan Wooden III, Gwendolyn McNair Pratt (Bernard Pratt), Regina Wooden Miller (Micheal    Mitchell Miller), Rawn Wooden (Janice Brown Wooden) and Keyshala Wooden; a devoted, granddaughter that stood the challenge, Diamond Wooden; special Friend Melvin Worsely; seven siblings: sisters: Brenda Smith (Blake Smith) Rebecca Mays, Dorothy Mays, Katherine Mays, Diane Mays; brothers: Robert Mays and Earnest Mays (Debra); thirty four grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews    cousins, other relatives and friends.
