Obituary

NO MATTER WHERE I AM. YOUR SPRITE WILL BE BESIDE ME.
FOR I KNOW THAT NO MATTER WHAT, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WITH ME.
Mr. Mark Johnson, son of the late Mr. Joe and Georgia Johnson of Valdosta, Georgia, was born October 11, 1940 in Valdosta, GA. He attended school in Valdosta, GA. Mark was the seventh child of twelve children.
Mark worked at the Coco Cola Plant for a short time. He then relocated to Miami, Florida. While working with Industrial Waste Services (IWS) he met and fell in love with Jannie Artis; from that union a son Mark Johnson Jr. was born. Mark became a father to Tyrone, Shirley, George and Antonio.
Because of his love to travel, he never met a stranger. Mark had a taste for strange and exotic foods, (Rabbit...Raccoon & Iguanas just to name a few.) Mark retired from Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) and started living his best life. He became a member of the Shine Boys where his friendships continued to grow.
Mark was joined in Holy Matrimony with Crystal Bell, where he became a stepfather to her four (4) daughters.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Georgia Johnson, his wife Crystal Bell Johnson and five brothers: Louis Johnson (Miami), Clinton Johnson (Miami), Paul Johnson (Valdosta, GA) Joseph Johnson (Miami) and Matthew Johnson (Ocilla, GA) and four sisters: Georgia Mae Wright (Miami), Martha Johnson (Miami), Annie Daniel (Valdosta, GA) and Mary Johnson (Valdosta, GA).
He leaves to cherish his memories: son Mark Johnson Jr. (Kieta Green); five (5) stepdaughters: Shirley Doster, (Anthony) Tomenia & Trenese Lewis, Tarolyn Perry Kiamesha Bell, stepson; George Washington (Joann); grandchildren: Emon Johnson and Roshamon Johnson; greatgrands: Cayden Johnson and Carisma Johnson; sister Betty White; brother Luke Johnson, two sisters-in-law, France and Ida of Georgia, four nieces: Almedia, Sabrina, Faye and Dorothy, and girlfriend Stacie Clemons and kids, and a host of nephews, cousins, greatnieces and friends.
