Dr. Louise Scott Murray was born in Americus, Georgia on February 14,1936 to the parents of Clifford and Laura Lee Bell Scott Ragans. Dr. Murray became a Florida resident until she was called home to be with Jesus and the Heavenly Host on July 7, 2021.

She attended Staley High in Americus, Georgia. After coming to Florida, she went to Lindsey Hopkins and graduated with an LPN medical certificate, then ensued her education in theology and graduated with a Doctorate in Theology. She did not stop there, she ensued her undergraduate degree and received a Bachelor's in Religious Arts in Biblical Studies, Master's of Religious Art in Christian Counseling and Dr. of Ministry, all of which were from Jacksonville's Theological Seminary. During her lifetime, she served as a nurse for 36 years. She started at Parkway General, which is presently known as Jackson North Hospital. During her tenure there she was recognized by the Chief of Medicine and promoted to the Pharmacy Department. Some years later, Dr. Murray was promoted to Head Nurse at Miami Heart Institute in Miami Beach, Florida.

Dr. Murray's heart was in singing, she was a "song bird". She sang solos, sang in choirs and duets. She was also a recording artist. She joined the Soul Saving Station located in Opa-Locka, Florida in 1971 until she retired in 2014, because of failing health.

She loved to preach to all who would lend an ear. She especially loved to visit the sick and the shut in and was heavily involved in community service by taking bread and baked goods to those in need.

Her close-knit family included her husband, Earnest Murray, who preceded her in death. Her children Willie Prince Jr., Lester Prince, Ervin Prince, John Wesley Prince, who preceded her in death, and Emory Prince. Her sister, Pastor Eddie Mae Hood; sister-in-law Cynthia Murray; brothers-in-law, Tom Murray and James Trimble Sr.; brothers and sisters preceding her in death are Ada Mann, Amos Ragans, Georgia Lee Ragans, Mary Alice Ragans, Clifford Ragans Junior, Ellen Pringle, Ludy Monts, and Florence James; and a host of grands, great-grands, nieces and nephews and godchildren.

Dr. Murray was true to (lived by) her favorite scripture Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
