Lewis Charles Moore was born May 22, 1932 in Greenville, FL., to the late R.C and Laura Moore. He was one of eight wonderful children consummated by God's will, all of which preceded him in death. Eighty-nine (89) years of a brilliant and self-made lifestyle came to an end on 29 ^th August, 2021 at Jackson North Memorial Hospital.

Lewis More was educated in the Greenville Public School System where he was known to be a avid athlete and became the captain of his high school basketball team. Although he had a few scholarships offers, he elected to help support his grandfather whom he spent a great deal of his time within the produce and farming environment.

At the age of 22, he was drafted in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean war with the 11 ^th Infantry Regiment as a machine-gunner resulting in the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, and the United Nations Service Medal.

After separating from the Army, Lewis did a few odd jobs and later reunited with his long lost love (Verna Johnson) from Greenville, who had two little children: Nan (Virginia), and Bubba (Kirk) resulting in holy matrimony. He became head of Maintenance at the Dade County Jail. Subsequently, Lewis became livid about things that he observed and tapped into his entrepreneurial spirit resulting in his own service profession (Moore's Cleaning & Waxing) which flourished successfully over 40 years.

He was a member of Mount Herman A.M.E Church for over fifty years where he taught Sunday School and served as an Usher and Steward. He was a sports enthusiast and passionate about the Miami Dolphins, and Heat Basketball teams. His love of music was beyond reproach, especially when it came to his favorite singers: Ray Charles, Brook Benton, and Nat King Cole.

Lewis leaves to cherish his memories his daughter: Virginia (Willie); son: Kirk (Marilyn); (6) grandchildren; girls: Kimberly and Claudine, boys: Darryl, Greg, Jay and James; devoted nieces and nephews: Margaret (Terry), Earnestine (Jimmy), Maggie (Calvin), Robert (Venessa), Joe Peak and many more; a wonder child whom he raised as his own… Lisa Washington; Cousins: The Boyd Family: Cornelius Boyd Jr. (Ruth), Ronda and Edna Boyd, and a host of family, friends and relatives to mention; (1) great, grandchild that he loved dearly (Shanice Phifer) and Jennifer Hunter, whom he affectionately called the "sweet girl" next door who checked in on him., "We all will miss you."
