Obituary

Leroy Alistair Robinson, age 63, born in St. Andrew Jamaica on May 1, 1957. He was the eldest child of Leonard Robinson and Mavis Maltida Wilson (nee Clarke). He immigrated to the United States of America (1983) where he resided in Florida throughout his Life. "Bird Man fly in any weather" This was a mantra that Leroy used when he did tasks that were difficult, and he was also called Bird by family and friends. Growing up in Jamaica, Leroy attended the Parade Gardens Youth Community Training Center where he completed training and received a certificate in appliance repair (1976) and competed in the Annual Inter-House track meet in Shot Put and Long Jump (1975). Leroy went to Calabar Primary, and Calabar Secondary school. For high school he went to St. Andrew Technical High School and Tivoli High School. Everyone who knew Bird remembers him for his cool demeanor and humorous attitude. He wouldn't care about the money he had in his pocket when he had to help someone. He is a legend for his kindness and ability to help others. He is survived by his wife Alethia Robinson of 25 years; 11 children, 6 grandchildren, sister Marjorie Jolly, a niece and a nephew and many other relatives and friends.
