Leon Oliver Williams was born in Jonesville, Florida on March 24, 1941, to the parents of Malvina Young Williams and Ike Williams both deceased. He was the youngest of eleven children.

At the age of three the family moved to Gainesville, Florida. Where he received his formal education in the Alachua County Public School System. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Gainesville, Florida.

Leon begin working while in high school in 1959 for Duncan Brothers Funeral Home, where he develop a passion for the funeral service. He moved to Sarasota, Florida after graduation and started working for Steven's Funeral Home. In 1966, Leon began another journey in life and moved to Miami, Florida and started working at Landmark Learning Center formerly known as Sunland. He held the position as an Administrative Supervisor where he developed numerous relationships, some even becoming lifetime friendships. After over 30 years of service, Leon retired quietly from the state of Florida.

Leon was united in holy matrimony to his best friend and sweetheart, the late Isabell Queen Williams on June 10, 1972. This Union was blessed with two wonderful children, Le Shea Olivia Williams and Le Zane Ollicient Williams. He instilled in them discipline and responsibility, training them to meet life's challenges and opportunities. He gave them endless faith, confidence and trust through his loving words, direction and protection.

Returning to his passion for the funeral service, he met Mr. Leon Bland and both worked for Range Funeral Home. But they had a bigger vision, a dream of ownership. So together they purchased and opened Royal Funeral Services, Inc. in 1982. Which is now today a staple in the Miami Gardens Community. This move made them not just co-owners but created a lifetime bond and they were known as the two Leons.

Leon was a member of Mount Hermon AME Church of Miami Gardens. Where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Trustee Board. Leon loved his church. He also served in community and social organizations and was a very active member in them which included: the Big Brother Big Sister Program, NAACP Branch #5119, and Masons Integrity Lodge No 82.

In accordance with God's will Leon transitioned on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at home with his family by his bedside.

Leon was also preceded in death by his sisters, Essie Reid and Alma Williams; brothers, Earnest Williams, James Williams, Joseph Williams and Isaac Williams.

Leon leaves to cherish precious and unforgettable memories that will linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved him dearly: a loving, devoted and supportive daughter, Le Shea Olivia Williams of Pembroke Pines, Fl.; a compassionate and caring son, Le Zane Ollicient Williams of Miami Gardens, Fl.; a loving grandson, Kendrick J. Williams of Pembroke Pines, Fl.; sister, Vernell Singleton of Gainesville, Fl.; brothers, Jimmie Williams (Felicia) and Johnnie Williams both of Sarasota, Fl. and Herman Williams (Barbara) of Gainesville, Fl.; Extended brother and best friend, Ulysses Davis II (Sylvia) of Miami Gardens, Fl.; a special friend, Edith (Margie) Newbold; a loving caregiver, Geraldine Ellis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, former classmates, coworkers, business and funeral associates throughout the nation.

Leon Oliver Williams will be truly missed!
