Kenyatta
Harris
Sep 16, 1976 — Aug 15, 2022
Miami
Psalm 73:26 - My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Kenyatta Kamara Harris made his triumphant transition to glory on August 15, 2022; with his eyes looking toward Heaven, assuredly, the angels rejoiced at his arrival. Though we are saddened by this sudden loss today, we come together to rejoice and celebrate the life of Kenyatta Harris, son, brother, husband, father, and friend.
Kenyatta Kamara Harris was born to the late William Harris Senior and Anita Elaine Harris on September 16, 1976, in Miami, FL. Lovingly known as Ken or Big Boy, he was the second oldest of five children. In a large family, Kenyatta was loved and knew how to love. Kenyatta attended Miami Carol Senior High School and graduated in 1995. Soon after graduating High School Kenyatta became a father to Isiah Harris on August 8, 1996. Hoping to provide a better life for his son, he began a career in Security and Protective Services. For nearly two decades, Kenyatta protected and served many different locations throughout South Florida.
In November of 2012, Kenyatta met his future wife, Oilna. After four years together, the two married June 4, 2016. Two years after meeting, on November 18, 2014, they welcomed their daughter Kamara Harris. The Harris home was never empty, always filled with love and laughter. Those who knew Ken was forced into his love for the Miami Dolphins, Marvel and Fishing. Kenyatta knew the value of hard work and instilled this in those around him. Kenyatta was always just one phone call away, never too busy, or tried to lend a helping hand especially when it came to his beloved grandmother Lannie Sands.
Kenyatta is predeceased by his parents William and Anita Harris, beloved grandmother Beatrice Harris, and Aunty Fannie Arnold.
