Keiontae
Williams
Apr 29, 1990 — Nov 5, 2022
Miami
2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
In the year of 1990, April 29th a little girl by the name Keiontae Arlene Williams was born. She was raised in the city of Miami, Florida and well loved by both parents. Some may say that Katie (as we knew her) was spoiled, and yes, she was. She was a little girl with ponytails, lace, and frills. Then Barney the PURPLE dinosaur came about, and her world changed, it was all about Barney. As a little girl her favorite movie was Matilda .
Katie is survived by an older brother Craig Williams and nephews Johannes and Khyson Williams. Her brother was her protector, yet she got on his nerves (smile). They played together, sung songs, and both detest house chores, but I must admit, Katie would rather clean, and Craig would rather cook. Together, they both became members of the South Miami Explorers. Wherever her brother went, she followed. They both were baptized and joined Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church (2001) were we attended for many years.
Transitioning into Coral Gables Senior High School, Katie was exposed to a different environment. She took AP science classes, joined the reading club, and participated in other various clubs and activities. In her 9th grade year, she befriended Mary Barron (Kitty). Their friendship became inseparable. Kitty received her license first, therefore most Saturdays was their day. They went to malls, different restaurants, movies etc. Although Kitty relocated to Canada that didn't stop their travels and friendship.
During her 11th grade academic school year, Katie began working at Walgreens parttime which she became fulltime later. Upon graduating in 2008, she transitioned to Stuart Newman Associates, Starbucks then Agility Health Care where she became Super-visor. Katie enjoyed working in the health care field, therefore in the year of 2022, Keiontae received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration.
Katie was an advocate of love, care, and passion for others. If you ask for assistance, she would be there for you. Katie loved to laugh (like her dad), play jokes, listen to music, always on her phone or computer, watch Asians movies and travel with her friend Shareen Pean, they were always traveling together. Katie understood and spoke Spanish which benefitted her future career. Sometimes, Katie would surprise me at things she learns to do. Small jobs around the house, Katie would fix them. Katie was amazing with technology. She knew how to program my television from work on her cellphone (amazing). She was my only daughter, and she IS deeply missed. Keiontae is survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and loved ones.
