On Monday, December 6, 2021, Josiah Henry Lawkin,(Joe) loving father of nine children passed away at age 73.

Josiah (Joe) Lawkin was born on May 13, 1948, in Falmouth, Jamaica to Hubert and Vera Lawkin.  Josiah was the youngest of eight children. He was a great father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Joe was a hard worker and provider for his family.  Joe consists of many skills: Ital Chef, Electrician, Mechanic, Soundman and much more. Josiah had an unwavering faith in the Rastafarian culture and his faith not only influenced his beliefs but was the very foundation of his life and everyone around him.  His hobbies were reading, cooking, meditating and just having a good time. Hanging with his friends drinking, smoking and reasoning were some of his favorite things to do but in the end, his most rewarding pastime was spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brothers and loving son Clive Lawkin (Okeyto).

Josiah's legacy continues to live through: his brother, Donat Lawkin, Sister: Gloria Porter, Children (Oldest to youngest): Shaka (& Christine) Lawkin, Sheeka Lawkin-Hudson, (Daniel Hudson III), Keisha Palmer, Adrian Lawkin, Trenesa Lawkin, Marquise Lawkin and Jah'Kara Lawkin, Grandchildren: Taye and Tiara Lawkin, Ayasha and Sanaa Hudson, Kenisha and Daniel Palmer IV, Janay, Jamerial, Janice, Ja'Mya, and Ja'Manual Fields, Malani Adams, and Great-granddaughter: Kehlani' Goins. He's also survived by a host of nephews, cousins, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, friends and those near and far.
