Jessie McKever Butler was born on August 22, 1941 in Thomasville, Georgia to James and Patsy (Gardner) McKever, both deceased. Jessie was the next to the last siblings out of six children, four preceded her in death.

Right after Patsy McKever had Jessie they moved from Thomasville, Georgia to Miami, Florida.

As a youth in Miami, Jessie attended Douglas Elementary School then Dorsey Junior High School and graduated from Northwestern Senior High School.

As an adult, she attended Lindsey Hopkins Technical School and graduated as a Medical Assistant and then she attended Miami Lakes Educational Center and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

In 1968 Jessie McKever met and married Alphonso    Butler and from that union was born Sharon E. Butler.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading the Bible,    novels, playing Bingo, doing Cross Word Puzzles, and Crocheted at times.

Jessie leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by: daughter Sharon E. Butler; grandson Anthony L. Hinds Jr., sister Rosa Lee Henry, beloved friend      Alphonso Butler and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and other relatives and friends.
