Obituary

Jacqueline Childs-Monroe was born on November 18, 1956, to the late Melvin and Nora Childs of

Damascus, Georgia.

She was proceeded in death by: Sisters, Madeline and Felicia Childs and a Brother, Kenneth Childs-Sowell, Grandparents, Flora and Rev. Johnnie B. Webb, and Grandfather Mack Bryant.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memories:

Devoted Husband: Leonard Monroe, loving daughter: Shakeela Monroe (Kee Kee); sister Janice Childs; brothers: Wayne Childs (Charissa), Tyrone Childs (Carol); aunts: Janie Love and Lisa Stephens (Larry), and uncle Rev. Luke Childs; Godsister: Gaynell Salter (Patsy), devoted nieces: Chantinelle Hamilton (Bootsie), Arlene Grate, Shantale Manning, Ronyal Jones, devoted Goddaughter Gloria Sims; grandchildren: Jalicia Monroe, William Henry and Jacqueline Prescod; great-grandchildren:   Journee Gunn and Zyir Prescod; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jacqueline graduated from Northwestern High School, Miami, Florida. She was employed at      Lucern Hospital Orlando, Florida before relocating to Miami, Florida. She joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, Florida at an early age.

Jacqueline had a large heart for the family and   children in the family.  The family and children  absolutely loved her. She had a great sense of     humor which kept everyone around her laughing. She was very creative in arts, crafts and sewing.
