Ernest Scott was born to the union of the late Clarence Scott Sr. and Beatrice Pope Scott on February 4, 1955, in Miami, Florida. The family moved to Opa-Locka, FL in the early 1950's. His early education began at Rainbow Park Elementary School, continuing to North Dade Junior High and graduating from Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High in 1973.

A life cut short. We are heartbroken by the untimely death of or beloved Ernest "Crip" Scott. Ernest left this world on September 2nd at 67 years old. You could always find "Crip" smiling, laughing, helping or just brightening someone's day. Truly a great soul, and as we know he was a die heart Miami Dolphins fan! He will sadly be missed and always hold a place in our hearts.

He leaves behind his daughter (Shakeira Scott), son (Jabari Scott) grandson (Justin Marshall) Sister (Sandra Y. Jones) of Plainfield, New Jersey, Sister-in-law (Eleanor Scott) (four   brothers preceded him in death) loving nieces and nephews and a host of close family and friends.
