Obituary

Ernest Cooper was born to the late Bessie and John Henry Cooper in Wigham, GA on March 2, 1935. Ernest was educated in Grady County. Ernest joined the Army after high school as a young man completed a tour of duty in Germany. He was honorably discharge from the Army becoming a civilian once again. He adjusted to civilian life in Miami, FL by working for the City of Miami Parks and Recreation for more than 25 years.

Ernest was blessed to come from a large family and was one of ten siblings totaling five brothers and five sisters. Ernest met Sarah in Cairo, GA in 1956. He married Sarah on August 15, 1958 in Miami, FL. Together they had two children, both girls Glenda and Gail. Ernest helped raise his two daughters with humidity and disciple. Ernest has always believed in the strength of family and how important it was to all stick together.

Ernest was a kind soul who loved to make people laugh and loved to travel to different locations. He knew that no matter how small your problem, he always had a way to solve any problem. He will be missed by his loved ones.

Ernest is survived by his wife Sarah; his three daughters: Deborah, Gail and Glenda; his five grandchildren: Raquel Cooper, Shelbry Butler and three others; his siblings: brother, Sam and his two sisters, Stella and Lois. He also has many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sisters: Ada, Willie Lee, and Louise; and brothers; Wilson, James and John Henry.
