Mother Doris Wright was born on February 1st, 1938 in Americus, Georgia to Fred Cobb and Minnie Lee Anderson. She was the "Baby Sister" to one brother and two sisters.

Mother Doris Wright attended Staley High School in Americas Georgia. For many years Mother Doris Wright worked as a Beautician. She was married to Leroy Wright (who preceded her in death) for thirty-five years. a fun-loving person. Her smile was her natural attribute. Mother Doris knew no strangers. She loved to have fun but was stern with discipline.

On November 26, 2022, Mother Doris Wright departed this life. She leaves behind precious memories with her children: Kathryn W. Hart and Lawanda Devoe; son in-law, Randy Hart; sisters: Laurene Smith, Freddie Ingraham (who preceded her in death); brothers: Milton Cobb and Fred Cobb (who preceded her in death); grandchildren: Bryan Blackshear, wife, Rene Blackshear, James Lewis Jr. "J.R: (who preceded her in death) Brianna Hart and Jada Hart; great grandchildren: Bryan Blackshear Jr. Ayana Wooden, Kyran Blackshear, Jewel Blackshear; Nieces and nephews: Cheryl Josey, Shawna Daye, Brenda Smith, Denise Elkins, Jackie Smith, Allen & Carl Smith, and the family and friends that Mother Doris Wright leaves behind
