On March 28,1949, Delois Helms was born to the late Josiephine Anderson in Orrville, Alabama, but was raised by Artelia Hunter her grandmother. She was known by her family and friend as Noonie.

She attended the public school in Orrville, Alabama and graduated from Keith High School. Orrville Alabama was her home until she moved to Miami Florida

She met and happily married her soul mate Deacon Johnny B. Helms on January 11, 1993. They had many years of love and treasured moments. He proceeded her in death. She was a faithful member of Holy Temple Missionary Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph L. Kelly. There she remained a Deaconess, member of the Adult Choir, and the Praise Team, singing her heart out to the Lord. Her passion was singing.

She worked for Skylake Hair Salon for many years. To know her was to love her. Many people were touched by her kind and gentle soul.

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, God came and took his daughter on home. As much as we loved her greatly, God loved her more.

Delois Helms, leaves to cherish her memories 3 sisters: Adline (Dan) Grant, AngeIa Anderson, and Adella grant; 4 brothers: Sylvester Hunter, Sinclair (Anna) Anderson, Carl Anderson, and Felix (Betty) Ellis; sisters in-law: Viletta Hunter and Doris Helms, and brother-in-law, Robert Helms; a stepmother, Josephine B. Anderson; and aunt Bertha Smith. She was auntie mommy to Dorothy (Jerome) Mack, Jessie (Rosie) Cater, Anthony Cater, and Rena Ellis. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
