Obituary

The Word of God in 11 Corinthians 5:8 states "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

Clarence Collier was born January 18, 1946, in Miami, Florida. He was raised by the Late Callie Collier.

He attended school in Miami Dade School System. He graduated from North-Dade Senior High School, where he played the Saxophone in the Band.

He met his beautiful wife, Sylvia, in 1968 while she was working at Bell South, and he worked at Richards Department Store. Clarence and Sylvia dated and fell in love, they tied the knot on 1969. After 18 years, Clarence left Sears and started working with USPS where he worked until he retired in the early 2000's.

Clarence was considered a gentle Giant. He had a heart of gold. "BIG C" was loved by many.

He was a great supporter for his family and friends. BIG "C" took joy in taking his family and friends on numerous vacations.

His personal ministry was taking people to their destination. He never met a stranger that he didn't help. He loved to talk and encourage everyone he came in contact with.

He leaves behind his beautiful wife of 54 years, Sylvia Collier, their two children: Michelle Collier (Robert); Raymond Collier (Nichelle); five grandchildren: Brittney Briggs, Ashley Collier, Erykah Clarke, Deontray Collier, Trayvon Collier and two Great Grandchildren; Braylin Scott and Alaiyah Scott.

Big "C" is also survived by his sister Theresa C. Ingram, and two brothers: Oliver Crews, and Eddie Brown.
