Catherine "Kate" Chibugo Ezeamama was born on February 28, 1966, and from UGA, Anambra State, Nigeria. She was an evan- gelist, businesswoman, and a philanthropist.

A charismatic Christian evangelist and businesswoman, Ms. Catharine Ezeamama went through a great deal of turmoil in her early life but rose from them all to build a foundation for herself and her children. Her dedication to evangelism was root- ed in a desire to help others find hope, salvation, and restora- tion in Jesus Christ. Ms. Catherine Ezeamama always stressed that sharing the gospel is the greatest thing you and I can do. She took the great commission to heart and took direct actions to evangelize and come along others in their Christian journey.

Ms. Catherine Ezeamama was a driven accomplished woman. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles in 1993. While taking a course in real estate, the professor shared with the class that "Florida is a prime location for real -estate investment and that "whoever can buy real estate in South Florida, should'. After graduating and suffering the effects of the North Ridge earth- quake in Los Angeles in 1994, Ms. Catherine packed her belong- ings and what was left from the rubble and began a 5-day road trip across the country with her two young children and hus- band. She settled in Miami, FL and arrived within two years of Florida's own devastation by Hurricane Andrew. Amidst the Hurricane related challenges in the area, she saw incredible opportunity and took bold actions to engage. Always a commit- ted Christian, the family attended Baptist Church in Miami Lakes, Florida and participated actively including regular attendance of Sunday services, mid-week service and Bible study. The church offered a course to the congregation called Evangelism Explosion. True to type, Sister Kate attended and participated faithfully. After every meeting the group would divide into teams and visit guests who attended church the previous Sunday. This was an activity the sparked Sister Kate commitment to evangelism. She looked forward to and thrived in these interactions. She found a personal mission in being part of the process of laying down seeds of faith in future be- lievers as she shared with them her own story and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Real-estate was her first love. Nevertheless, Ms. Catherine found ways to diversify and elevate in her career ambitions, business endeavors, and stewardship in the body of Christ. For example, she went to cosmetology school and acquired a hair salon which she ran for a few years. In 1998 she enrolled in nursing school at Miami Dade College and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She has worked in several hospitals in South Florida and later worked as a travel nurse in California. She had many years of experience working in Emergency, ICU, and telemetry departments at Memo- rial Hospital, Kendall Regional, Baptist Hospital and faith-based hospitals. As she worked with patients' she used it as an oppor- tunity to pray and share the gospel with her patients. An inde- pendent entrepreneur at heart, Ms. Catherine eventually gave up her nursing practice to focus on her private enterprise. From her role as a church leader to her business endeavors Ms. Catherine Ezeamama was always out in the field making the impossible possible. Nowhere was this more nobly displayed than her efforts following the Great Recession of 2008 and the ensuing impact on real-estate values. For her, giving up was never an option. She pressed on in faith and somehow, she always found a way.

Right from childhood Catherine made sure my siblings and I participated in activities that challenged us to be the best version of ourselves. She was an out of the box thinker and she chal- lenged us to develop healthy character traits and to find our unique competitive edges in life. Her bold persistence, visionary spirit, unparalleled work ethic and resiliency through adversity are a few qualities among others that make me incredibly proud to know her as my mother. For example, for a very long time she was a sole parent doing the very best she knew how to raise three children, run several businesses at once, and balance a career as a registered nurse. Around 2003, she chose to prioritize her real- estate business by formally securing the relevant licenses and growing her own independently real-estate enterprise.

My mother had so much life left and was so busy living each day to the fullest that we did not have any reason to anticipate gather- ing at this time to celebrate her amazing life. On the morning of March 23, 2022, Ms. Ezeamama died in a fatal car accident in Hollywood, Florida. Our hearts were broken in a million pieces, and we are still dazed. We have gone through every emotion pos- sible, searched our soul deeply, asked a lot of questions and ulti- mately have chosen to submit to the sovereignty of the God she served with all her heart.
