On a warm summer's day on the 12th of July 1964, Carol Joan was born to Icilda Walker and Austin Bucknor in Belleplain, Four Paths, Clarendon, Jamaica. Carol attended Osborne Store All Age School and Denbeigh Secondary School, Clarendon. Carol produced three children, Brigett Shadian Campbell, Rohan Omar Campbell, and Levon Kelly Campbell.

Later she migrated to the United States and settled in South Florida. Carol wanted self-improvement and pursued a career in healthcare, at first as a healthcare aide. Next, she successfully completed the Nursing Assistant program at Sheridan Technical Institute and worked at Mt. Sinai hospital.

Carol sought spiritual help and Angela Norma James introduced her to Living Word Open Bible Church, where she received Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was water baptized and became a member. Carol was gentle, kind, faithful, generous, and always helpful. She was loved and respected by co-workers as well as her Living Word Church family. A devoted Christian, Sis. Carol wanted to grow more in her faith and earned a Certificate in Christian Ministry in 2007 from INSTE Bible College. She served in Prayer and visitation ministries and was appointed a deaconess at Living Word until illness prevented her service.

The Lord blessed Sis. Carol with a wonderful    husband, Glenroy Nicholson, whom she met through his sister, Carol's co-worker. Carol invited Glenroy to church for their first meeting. Their relationship blossomed rapidly, aided by wise Christian counsel. They were joyfully married on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Living Word Open Bible Church. Both were fully devoted to the Lord and each other. They served together at the church.

Carol became ill and her health deteriorated rapidly over the ensuing years. Yet, she remained steadfast in faith. Glenroy cared for her at home for many years, until she became severely ill and required placement in a Nursing home. Glenroy was ever present, brought and fed Carol her favorite food each day. Church sisters Carolyn Anderson and Winsome Blair, among others, assisted when needed. But Carol's health

continued to decline.

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, God called Sis. Carol to her eternal home. She is survived by her loving husband Glenroy, children Brigett Shadian, Rohan Omar, and Levon Kelly; grandchildren Rashard, Mikayla, David, Samarie, Chaneil, and Jason; great grandchildren Zyeon and Andrea;  other family members, friends, and her Church family. May her soul rest in peace!
