Berice Alexander was the second child born to Gladys Savoury and Cecil Bloomfield. She was born on July 28, 1939 in St. Ann Jamaica. She attended Blackstonhedge All Age School. After leaving school she went to live in Kingston. She got her first job at a printery where she worked for eighteen years.

In 1975 Berice got married to the love of her life Trevor Alexander. In 1981 she migrated to the United States of America to join her husband who had migrated there a few years earlier. They lived together ever since until his death last year May 2021.

Berice had five children one of whom died. Barbara Lee died at the tender age of twenty-three after a short illness. Berice lived in New York and work at Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital until she moved to Miami, Florida in 1989. In Miami, she worked at Parkway Hospital (now known as Jackson North) until she retired.

On July 5, 2022 Berice was taken away peacefully in her sleep. She leaves behind to mourn her death, her son, Donald Lee; daughters: Carlene Roberts, Lorna Lee, and Michelle Alexander; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a son-in-law: Theodore Caldwell; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Lee; a nephew, Hugh Gordon; lots of cousins and other relatives.

We love you Berice, and we miss you. Enjoy the presence of Jesus the Lord until we meet again. May her soul rest in peace and may light perpetually shine upon her.
