With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony Emanuel Barris, affectionately known as Tony or Deego, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and dear friend. Born at Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, Tony was the cherished son of Stanley and Irene Barris. He peacefully departed this life on December 23, 2024, at the age of 44, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering strength.

Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Rommel, who lovingly stood by his side, and his five treasured children: AJ, CJ, Tassanne, Damani, and Jayda. He is also survived by his four sisters, three brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. He now joins his beloved parents and his sister, Bobbette, in their eternal home.

Tony's journey began in Kingston, Jamaica, where he attended Unity Prep School, Balmagie Primary School, and Penwood High School. His strong work ethic led him to Tank-Well Steel Company, where he honed his skills as a crane operator, and later to Kingston Wharf, where he built lasting friendships that stood the test of time.

Upon migrating to the United States, Tony's life was blessed when he met his beautiful wife, Rommel, who nurtured and cared for him with unwavering love and devotion. His faith became an integral part of his life, and he was honored to be a member of Beulah Pentecostal Church in Margate, FL, under the leadership of Pastor Sandra Riley. He was also ministered to by his dear friend and mentor, Andrew, who provided him with spiritual guidance and support.

Above all, Tony's greatest love was his family. He was a father whose dedication knew no bounds, ensuring that his children had opportunities beyond his own humble beginnings. His love was deep, unyielding, and will never be forgotten. Tony's legacy is that of a devoted father, a loving husband, and a man of resilience and faith. Tony never gave up or stopped fighting and he will never be forgotten.

Though his presence will be dearly missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Tony—you were truly one of the greatest fathers of our time.
