Johnson
d. Jan 2, 2021
Stockbridge
Addie Lee Johnson was born in Ocilla (Irwin County), Georgia on February 21, 1930, to the late Jimmy Collings and Mary Ashley Collins.
On December 20, 1972, Addie earned an Associate Degree in Science in Management and Supervision from Miami-Dade College. Addie set her sights on wanting to join a profession that is challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people's lives daily. So on May 7, 1978, Addie earned an Associate Degree in Science in Nursing from Miami-Dade College. After earning both degrees, Addie had a wonderful career as a Nurse for over 40 years, working for both the public and private sector.
During these years, Addie embraced being a mother and had three wonderful sons: Prennis, Alan, and Barry. Addie was a pure example of a "Proverbs 31~Virtuous Woman". She was a woman who led her home with integrity, discipline, and more. She was devoted to making the life of her family better and serving God.
Preceding her in death were her brothers David Collins and Freddie Collins, sisters, Viola Collins, Arlie Brown, Ophelia Colson, Mary Larkin, and Louise Collins. Left to cherish her memories are her brother, Eddie Collins; three sons, Prennis Sholtz (Faye), Alan Sholtz (Kathy), Barry Johnson (Friend: Dollie); nine grandchildren; and a host of loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
