Adam Johnson was born September 17, 1981, in Miami, Florida to William Larry Johnson and Carolyn Johnson.
Adam attended Norwood Elementary School and Norland Middle School, where he was also in the gifted arts program, and honed his talents as a gifted artist. He graduated from Miami Douglas McArthur Sr. High School in 2000 and continued his education at Miami-Dade College, North Campus and Alexander City Community College, Alexander City, AL. As he expanded his artistic interests, he developed his skills in creative writing, as well.
Adam had a great sense of humor. He was also a man of great compassion, patience, kindness, a peacemaker, and knew Jesus Christ as his Savior. So many people noticed and spoke of his wonderful attributes. While living in Dadeville, Alabama, he was one of his father's care-givers, and was with his dad until his death in 2017.
Despite facing many health issues and challenges in life, Adam showed an exemplary work ethic with whatever tasks he was given to do.
Adam leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Carolyn Johnson; brother, Myles Johnson, Long Island City, Queens, NY; sister, Taneka Johnson-Koonce (Lamont), Van Nuys, CA; uncles, Donald Estes (Naomi), Miami, FL and Ledget Estes (Erma), Waynesboro, MS; and a host of family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
